…because they actually speak a different language then the rest of us! Oh, they might say it’s American English. It even sounds just like American English. I have figured out, after watching yesterdays Rachel Maddow Show, that it is not actually American English. It is Republicanese. Or something else, like nonsense.
How did I figure it out? If you listen to the following interview between Rachel Maddow and Rep. Don Manzullo, R-IL:

It appears that Republicans, unlike the rest of the world, thinks that infrastructure spending does not belong in a stimulus package for it will not stimulate the economy! If you need to, please re-read that sentence and re-listen to the video. Paul Krugman, Jim Cramer and other economists are actually wondering where the infrastructure spending is, and the American Society of Civil Engineers say that the U.S.A. needs 2.2 Trillion in infrastructure spending. In other words, everyone but house Republicans not only agree that infrastructure spending would indeed stimulate the economy and that the U.S.A. sorely needs improvements in our infrastructure.
So why is it that the House Republicans do not understand that infrastructure spending actually belongs in a stimulus package? I honestly don’t know.
