One of my favorite game companies…

…is Slugfest Games. They have awesomely fun and silly card games like, ‘Red Dragon Inn’, ‘En Garde’ and ‘Fishing for Terrorists’. These games are inexpensive, easy to play and loads of fun! I highly recommend them.

I wrote this endorsement voluntarily, and with much pleasure in helping out some good friends.

Personal News – Books, Books and more Books!

Ok, not so many books…

As anyone who has read my last post, I finally finished “Wolf Totem: A Novel” two days ago. I savored all 500+ pages of this amazing book, and was one of the many readers who swallowed their tears and their howls of mourning at the end.

I finished one [...] Read more »

Book Review – Wolf Totem: A Novel

I just had the pleasure of reading the book “Wolf Totem: A Novel” by Jiang Rong. The novel is set on the Olonbulang, a grasslands plain in Inner Mongolia, during the 1960′s. Chen Zhen, a Han Chinese student sent to study the Mongolian people, is one of the main characters in the novel. There [...] Read more »

Banana Republic or Factless, Partisan Reporting? You decide…

I was checking my gmail and saw a link to Forbes.com for a particular article labelled Commadante Obama. Considering all the entertainingly bogus claims that Obama is a communist I thought that this also might be an entertaining read. The author, Peter Robinson, did not fail me in the least. The first four paragraphs [...] Read more »

Must security come at the cost of freedom?

A long time ago, I figure at least 5 years ago, one of my best friends Jason presented a question for discussion. He asked if it is possible to increase security without sacrificing our freedoms?

I joined in on the discussion, trying to point out different ways that our security might increase without a [...] Read more »

Keeping your eye on the money…

I have seen a few minor sources, from comics to blogs, who have been criticizing the media and saying that they are being irresponsible about how they report about the AIG bonuses. Their main focus is that the bonuses, 165 million, are a small percentage (roughly .12% to be correct) of the totality of [...] Read more »

If there was an award for the most unscientific experiement…

This one I just read about would be in contention. Yes, please check out this Yahoo Article about how Sarah Palin’s looks might have hurt the election.

Look, I am no fan of Sarah Palin, and yes I planned on voting for Obama long before her Vice Presidency was announced. However, to say that [...] Read more »

Times, they are tough all over…

I work in a Uverse phone tech center. Someone just got a call saying that they had Comcast and cancelled it before ordering Uverse. Comcast left the Coax cables at the residence, so the Uverse Tech used them. Now Comcast wants the Coax cables back! LOL!
