Personal News – Books, Books and more Books!

Ok, not so many books…

As anyone who has read my last post, I finally finished “Wolf Totem: A Novel” two days ago. I savored all 500+ pages of this amazing book, and was one of the many readers who swallowed their tears and their howls of mourning at the end.

I finished one book, so I started another. This book, ‘Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell’ appears to be much lighter fare and has already proved to be entertaining. Only 60 pages in. It has very dry humor, but I certainly appreciate the style of writing. I look forward to reading this book completely.

Also, I ordered ‘The Bell Jar’ and ‘Wordpress Theme Design’ from Barnes & Noble! ‘The Bell Jar’ came highly recommended and look forward to reading more and more excellent books. Hopefully I will also learn how to make this blog look super cool in no time at all! The B&N reviews gave this book at least 4 stars so I figure I should learn a decent amount from it.

Other than that, not much good news in the last two days. Except that I am writing here more often. Hopefully it will become a habit.

  • Ok, you can bet I will! LOL

I will certainly try to remember. If I forget, nudge me. =)
  • Time does find a way to slip by. At least when I am not reading the Wordpress book I am playing with my son so I don't miss it so much =)

I am glad my posts get you thinking or feeling. Sometimes I wonder how well I am conveying my thoughts and feelings. Please! Check back here more often! I will be writing more, I promise!

Delicious books! =) YAY! Reading always inspires writers to write. =) This is good. I haven't been around to check out your writing lately, sorry. I will try to be more vigilant in my perusal of your page. You write excellent posts and make me think or get me all pissed at the right again. ;)

Have you used the WordPress book yet? I got one too. I should try it out this weekend but it seems I am never caught up enough to feel like I have free time. Hrm. Time evades us when we get in our 30's, doesn't it?
