A lot of my neighbors annoy me…

Why? A lot of them have dogs.

Let me clear on this, I love dogs. I love playing with them. I even love letting them lick my face. It’s an aquired taste, not for everyone. I do not like their poop left in the grass. I despise it! I would love to run and play with Alpha Cub and just have a lot of fun there. The dog poop every three feet is an obvious deterrent.

I am not mad at the dogs themselves. They have to do their business sometimes. They go where their owners tell them to.

The funny thing is, the field cannot be more than about 30′x30′. It’s really rather small. There is also a doggie poop station on one side of the field. At least 6 feet tall with a sign on it to let people know what it is. There are bags there to pick the poop up with and a receptacle to hold the poop. It doesn’t even smell, although I am not sure if that is excellent design or because NO ONE USES IT!

Therein lies the reason I am annoyed at my neighbors. They refuse to clean up after their dogs! Even when there is a perfectly good doggie station nearby for just such a purpose!

It is inspiration to get my own house with my own lawn that, if I must, I can fence and prevent dogs from pooping on it!

    I do not like dogs at all. I mean, I would not kick them or harm them. I do not wish ill will on them or anything but I don’t like them. They smell bad, they get fleas, they poop everywhere—short of not smoking, they have few redeeming qualities.

    I hate dog poop on the grass as well. Even when people pick it up–there is dog poop residue left on the grass. They are certainly not out there cleaning up the grass with detergent–hahaha. It is disgusting.

    Furthermore, apartments are simply NOT big enough for a dog. People who love dogs sooo much they feel they need one in an apartment seem to be missing the point. If they love dogs so much than why not treat them like they are loved. You wouldn’t put a child in a closet, ok–most people wouldn’t, and putting a dog in an apartment is just as cruel.

    And then there are the dog lovers who feed their dogs the cheapest dog food around. What is that about? Or refuse to get them Advantix to keep them from getting fleas and ticks…or refuse to take them to the vet! If you love your dogs so much—take care of them! Gah!

    I am soooooo not a dog person but even I think–if you are going to have a pet–you should take care of it properly.

    I do agree that if people are going to have pets that they should definitely take care of them.

    I am not so worried about dog poop residue. After all, there is bound to be residue of part or all of these things on the grass as well – fertilizer, bird poop, insect poop, insect guts, animal dander, human skin and other nasties. If I were worried about residues I would have the family that lived in the plastic bubble!

    There is a huge difference between the residue and a huge steaming pile of filth. Boys are bound to get a little dirty, but there are limits to what is acceptable.

    Advantix is absolutely necessary!
