I am not sure I agree with most of your post BC.
One, I remember reading about her landing a lucrative Book deal, so I cannot agree that her resigning is a financial matter.
Two, I am not so sure that the ethics laws are being abused. I can be persuaded otherwise. However, the illogical argument that Obama should be held accountable to the Alaskan ethics laws for his own book deals is not persuasive. I do not see Palin being brought to court about her book deal. At least not yet…
Three, the whole point of the ‘endorsement’ of artic cat was that she was getting huge financial backing. Also, there are legal methods to recoup lawyer fees if you win your case in almost every type of lawsuit, I am thinking that she probably managed to do that.
I am not ready to say either way whether she was treated fairly or unfairly. I do not agree with most of her positions. She is not the only politician whom people are trying to bring to court. She is one of the ones where the courts have not seen fit to throw the case out. Perhaps the lawsuits are not so frivolous?
