Alpha Cub still has a lot to learn…

Alpha was a little rude to mommy tonight. He decided that he wanted to see other people instead. I didn’t know how to handle it, and I probably handled it poorly. I pretty much stayed out of it, but I keep wondering if there was something I could have done or should have done. I will dwell on it and hopefully come up with an answer soon.

    How was he rude? He is a very young toddler…he is not rude. He knows his mommy is always there, so he is exploring. She should take this is as a compliment. She has made him feel safe enough to venture out and know she will be there when he returns. She should not worry about it and neither should you. You should stay out of that… you (and she) cannot force him to prefer her everytime. He needs to explore.

    I didn't really explain that the other people weren't actually present at the time. So he was shunning her for someone who wasn't there.

    She takes that hard. It was when she got home from work and she was tired and wanted N to welcome her. I figure if she wants him to come to her she has to take it better so he is not scared to go to her. Maybe I am just crazy…
