In order to write well, one must actually write. It really doesn’t matter what you write. You can write love notes, messages to friends, novels, future messages to your children. You just need to keep on writing. The quality of the writing is something that should not be consciously thought about. When you start out, write any old thing. The more you write the better you will get, you will have no choice. The more you do the better you will get. You will also find what items you are natually good at writing. You will gravitate to that or those styles naturally, and you will just get better and better at those styles. You will occasionally have the desire to write something out of your comfort zone, and that is good too.

I will always wish that I have written more, even if I have written lots and lots to people. That is nearly not the case at this time. There is a lot of things that I do that easily distract me. I consciously do not make writing a priority. I feel that this needs to change, and I hope that I will have the follow through to make that change. I know that I want both reading and writing to be a higher priority. I am really bad at priorities, I will have to get that under control.

I also want to <del datetime="2009-11-08T19:00:19+00:00">get better at physical tasks</del> do physical tasks more thoughtfully, take time and get into the moment. Enjoy even the most menial tasks, because it is what you are doing, how you are living. One should enjoy all tasks of living. You should enjoy everything you do, no matter what your age, for no matter what your age is there are those who have not have the privledge of living that long. You honor their life, however short, by living in the moment while also allowing yourself to consider the future. You consider the future not purely for your own benefit, in fact I would say that personal benefit should be the last thing on your mind when considering the future unless you are a batchelor or a batchelorette and plan on being one for a long time. The fact is that people will realise that once you start doing for others your quality of life will improve naturally. You will see those things that are good and will naturally start to adopt them just as you help others to adopt them as well, whatever they may be.

There are a lot of tasks that I have not really allowed myself to take full part in them. It is a sign of the times. In the world of instant food, one does not take the time of truly partaking of the meal. One feels that one must consume their foods almost as fast as one has taken to prepare them. This is the age of instant gratification. I am beginning to learn, to understand, that taking time to do things will not just give you more time to do things right, but it gives you more time to enjoy them as well. You are more likely to find things that you enjoy more than others, things in general will be more distinct. Time, life, actions, will not mesh together and become as one, memory will improve as it will have the time to absorb the knowledge.

Yes, I have been reading about this a whole lot and I have a lot more reading to go. When I have the time I am going to look to slowing down those things that are reasonable to slow down, to savor the moment. This will be a gradual life change, one that I am doing my best to start. I hopefully will continue down this path and write more about it.
